The Lodge at Starr is another locals establishment. There are over a dozen of these Lodges scattered through out the valley. Of course the Lodge I went to was located at Starr and Las Vegas Blvd. It is located on Las Vegas Blvd between Blue Hawk Tavern and South Point. ( 20 E Starr Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89183 )
For instance, the theme of this place is of Ski Lodge. Which is a little ironic because there is no skiing around this valley. In addition, it has a warm and cozy feel with the three fire places. There are lots of ski slope maps on the wall too. Just very odd considering we are in the desert. They even have a ski lift chair in the front. Specifically, the facility is very clean and the staff is very friendly and attentive. They even have bike racks out front.
Ski Lodge
There is more than enough room for seating. They have a entire section for dining in. This is in its own section. Also, surrounding the bar there is plenty of seating. There are very large booths near the fireplaces. In addition, there are regular booth and tables. They have a large TV with chairs and tables . Likewise, there are even some dart machines and two pool tables.
The bar area is really big. They have plenty of machines to play on the bar. Moreover, there are plenty of spots at the bar without machines. I like this because I can actually drink my beer and watch a game without the distraction of a poker machine. Also, each seat at the bar has a hook to hang a jacket on. In addition to a USB outlet to charge your electronics.
The Lodge at Starr food
To demonstrate, this place has a kitchen with a large menu selection. The night we went we had the Pulled Pork Sliders with a side of tater tots. Besides the Burgers and Sliders, they also offer up Appetizers, Soups, Salads, Sandwiches, and Breakfast.
In conclusion, The Lodge at Starr is another example of locals bar. They are in the same set as the Pkwy Tavern or Village Pub. In similar fashion, there is plenty of TVs, and drinks. Also the added value of a kitchen. Lastly, more information on the Lodge site.
