Tacos El Gordo is a great place to get your taco on! The tacos are excellent tasting. With a large and spacious seating area, you can not go wrong. I knew I would like this place. Most importantly, if you want a great tasting taco go to Tacos El Gordo. They are open late, like 4am on weekends. Nearby the strip, Tacos El Gordo is located next to the Town Square (2560 W Sunset Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89119).
Tacos El Gordo is from De Tijuana BC. Despite, the location at Sunset is fairly new. Once you enter you proceed to the line with the protein you desire: Pork, Steak. Subsequently when you get to server you order how you want your port or steak. You can get tacos, quesadillas, tostadas to mention a few. Of course I was all about the tacos. Once you order all of your treats, you proceed to the cashier next to the soda. After paying, make sure you visit the condiments to add to your tacos.
Tacos El Gordo
Besides the cafeteria style ordering, I really like how the kitchen is open for everyone to see. Even more, I enjoy watching your server carve the Adobada off a huge slab rotating while cooking. Subsequently, Talk about great flavors! Very good! Of course I had to get my tacos with all the fixings. Depending on the type of taco you order the fixing can vary. Regardless you will want to get it all.
When I went, I order 6 tacos. I got 3 pork and 3 steak. Each and everyone of them was full of flavor and taste. These are some really good tacos. To illustrate more, my friend ordered 6 pork tacos with all the fixing and I guess the secret request of pineapple. Regardless of the taco you order they are all $4.21. A little pricey but worth ever bite. Granted my 6 tacos and soda plus tax was $30.
The establishment was very clean and spacious. There are plenty of tables to pick from. Granted, this place can get busy. For example, it is open seating, so my suggestion is send someone off to get a table while the other gets in line to buy the food. You can find more information and menu at the Tacos El Gordo site.
In conclusion, if you want one of the best tacos in Las Vegas you will want to visit Tacos El Gordo. Plus, they stay open late! Never to late, Friday and Saturday you can cure your munchies until 4am. Chiefly, a perfect after party location. I highly recommend both the Adobada and Carne Asada tacos.
