Star Nursery

Star Nursery is one of the best places to go. Its a great place for any plant you may need or want. I have gotten 90 percent of all my plants from Star. I always go with native species and arid tolerant. They do have one of the largest selections of plants. Star has several location through out the valley. I go to the Star on Eastern near 215 (8725 S Eastern Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89123).

Every time I go I always stop by the Koi pond and check out the fish and turtles.

Everything from pots, soil, gloves, hoses, and shovels. You name it ,they have it. Without doubt, they are your planting supply store.

When you plan on buying plant make sure you grab a wagon so you can haul around your new found treasures.

Most importantly, Star has all the outdoor plants you may ever want. Further more, with attention to native plants that can tolerate the sun and arid conditions.

Not to mention tons of trees. Star has a huge selection of trees to pick from. Particularly, I actually purchased my desert museum palo verde from Star. I like it because of the green smooth bark it has. In the spring time it is loaded with yellow flowers. Most importantly, it can handle the heat and lack of water.

Furthermore, you can purchase Ocatilla at Star. Or as Grandpa says “dead sticks”. I personally like them and they are very colorful. In spring time they actually get a red bloom on the very tip of the sticks. They actually grow leaves and stay on until the heat kicks in. I have several planted in my back yard.

Obviously Star Nursery is the best plant store in Las Vegas. At the same time, it also is a great place to go look and walk around checking out all the plants. Because of this, I suggest you visit this place.
