Grumpy
Slater’s 50/50 has been voted by Las Vegas Weekly best hamburger 2023. Slater’s hamburger is know for 50/50 beef and bacon blend. Chiefly, a great burger and beer joint. I went to the Slater’s on Silverado Ranch near South Point (467 E Silverado Ranch Blvd #100, Las Vegas, NV 89183).
Above, you can see Slater’s has a big seating area in addition to the bar area.
Primarily, Slater’s has several varieties of 50/50 patties to select from. Starting with the Original Burger. Followed by the BBB Bacon Burger. Even more, they also have a PB and Jellousy and Lone Star Smoke burger. Moreover, all of their hamburgers come with Slater’s Fries and bacon ketchup, or sweet potato fries and Pumpkin Sauce.
Burgers
For a starter, I ordered the Pokapalooza. The ultimate bacon sampler. Double center cut, sirracha , billionaires , and Rosemary Parmesan. Accompanied by house made bacon jam, toast and pickled veggies. The toast and jam was good. Otherwise, it seemed just like couple pieces of bacon.
Secondly, I ordered the Slater’s 50/50 Original. 50/50 beef bacon blend, pepper jack, avocado, sunny side up egg. In contrast, with chipotle mayo on oversized brioche bun. I had the sweet potato fries plus pumpkin sauce. This was a good hamburger, but one thing I did not like is they broke my yoke. Leave that to me! Thank you.
Lastly, Grandpa ordered Best Damn Bacon Cheeseburger. Angus beef, thick bacon, cheese, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato, and thousand island on brioche bun. Plus the Slater’s Fries with bacon ketchup.
In addition to the burgers, I had to try the Slater’s Reese Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate Cake.
Slater’s 50/50 Bar taps
Even more than all the burgers, Slater’s has a big beer selection. Definitely the spot for a burger and beer. You can sit at the bar, and sample all of their beers. You can find their beer list here. Rotating basis. Even more, they offer a bottomless brews.
Of course I had to try the beer. Slater’s offers a beer flight which allowed me to sample 4 different beers. I let the bartender pick them. To demostrate, from left to right, they were Belching Beaver Peanut Butter Stout Nitro – I liked it. Boulevard Tank 7 – had the hoppy notes. Rogue honey Kolsch – lighter side. Finally, Hudl Showgirl – was a good beer.
In similar fashion, the service was good and attentive.
For example, nothing goes better with beer than appetizers. Slater’s has a huge selections to pick from. From my favorite Porkapalooza, Bacon Mac and Cheese Balls, Ahi Tuna Poke Nachos, and Crispy Onion Rings with BBQ sauce.
