Oyo Hotel and Casino is in the Original Howard Johnson built in 1972. Previous to Oyo, the property was Hooters. As a matter of fact, Oyo still has a Hooters restaurant inside. It has almost 700 rooms with over 30000 sq ft of casino. Located across the street from the MGM Grand. Next to what was Tropicana Casino and will be the future baseball stadium. For example, the evening I went we were going to see a show at the Showroom. This gave me a chance to look around the place. We entered in from the garage, which leads into a sports lounge and Underground bar area.
In addition, if you enter from the street you walk up on the casino floor where all the tables are located. There are about a dozen different tables to select from. There is also plenty of machines scatter throughout the casino floor.
Far in the back there is still a Hooters restaurant, which was left over from when the place use to be a Hooters Casino. Of course, they server up the traditional chicken wings and beer. There is also a Steak n Shake serving up burgers and fries.

For instance, Oyo is off from The Strip. Oyo one of a very few hotels that is a pet friendly hotel. The room rates are very inexpensive. The one thing I will say, is the evening we went it was very warm in the establishment. For example, I would call this place a budget hotel. You get what you pay for. In like manner, there is one weird thing I kept reading about Oyo on BBB. It seems they have a smoking sensor in the rooms if activated causes a fine and a lot of complaints.
