Henderson Hot Rod Days is an annual event that takes place in Henderson Water Street. The event is hosted by the city of Henderson and Boulder City Cruisin’ Association. For instance, this year’s event took place on the weekend of early October. Most importantly, the event is a huge success with over 500 classic vehicles on display. The best part is you can visit everything else on Water Street like Rainbow Casino, and Gold Mine Tavern while looking at the hot rods.
Centrally located, the event was held on Henderson’s Water Street. As a result, the street is closed down and filled with hundreds of classic, custom, muscle cars, trucks and motorcycles. There were more than 30 vendors at the event, as well as live entertainment, Hot Rod Happy Hours, and awards given out for the best cars.
With out a doubt, there are lots of cars. To that end, everyone should see something of interest. For example, they showed old cars right along with new cars and I even saw a motorcycles or two.
Hot Rods
In fact, the event was spectacular. To demonstrate, there were a lot of people without it being over crowded. Also, parking was easy, we parked in The Pass parking garage. Chiefly, all the businesses along Water Street were open and handling the crowds. Therefore, I was able to order a beer right away at Lovelady Brewing. There were more than enough facilities for the people and I never found lines.
Chiefly, I went for the entertainment. Especially Candy O. That is they actually put on a good show. For instance, they covered most of the Cars songs. Even more, playing about a dozen songs lasting about a hour. It was nice to sit on the lawn in the shade and enjoy some good music. You could bring your favorite drink over and sip on it while listening. Candy O got started in 2001 covering the Cars.
Overall, Henderson Hot Rod Days is a great event for car enthusiasts to come together and enjoy a weekend filled with classic cars, live music, and entertainment. You can find more information on Hot Rod Days from this site.
