Freeds Dessert Shop is part of the Freeds Bakery chain. There are several Dessert Shops around the valley. The one I visited is located in the Arts District. Since 1959, Freeds is a establishment for the Vegas valley. The Freeds downtown shop is located a couple downs down from the Craft House located on California Ave. ( 60 E California Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89104 )

As they say, Freeds is a Las Vegas Tradition since 1959. Everyone gets a Freeds cake for their special occasions. In similar fashion, I have gone to a wedding where the wedding cake was a Freeds. The cake was multi layered and looked good. Likewise, it tasted even better and left a lasting impression of Freeds expectations.
To illustrate, I was in the Arts District for the First Friday events. Afterwards, I made sure to stop by and picked something up. This shop is small and for ToGos. Of course, the selection for cakes is big, and the cookie selection was even bigger.
Likewise, there are additional Dessert Shops in Summerlin, Aliante, and Durango. By the same token their main bakery is located on Easter near 215. Wherever you may be, give them a try. They are worth it.
Freeds Dessert Shop Cake
For instance, we ordered the Strawberry Shortcake and the Cannoli Cake. Each slice is about $7. In addition you can order a dozen cookies for about $10. Most importantly, everything is good. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They are more than happy to answer any question you may have. Moreover, they package everything up in nice little boxes. That is, the cakes taste great and are not overly sweet.
