First Friday is a fun event for everyone. By and large, I always try to go on the first Friday of ever month to check out the Art, Food, Music, festival. Particularly, I always have fun checking out all the vendors and all they have to offer. In addition to all the street vendors, there are plenty of art galleries to go into check out the local art scene. You can find First Friday in the Arts District (1025 S 1st St, Las Vegas, NV 89101).
First off, there are plenty of art galleries to go in to and check out the art. Every time I go I always plan to come back with something new. Since it is First Friday, most galleries go all out and promote things up. Because of all of this, don’t be shy and go in and check out what is offered. Regardless, I am always looking for a good deal.
In contrast to the the brick and mortar shops, there are plenty of vendors set up on the streets. These are the real fun spots that I like to check out. Specifically, you can find everything there. For example you can get pop art, and a cookie all in one spot.
First Friday Street Vendors
Located in the parking lot are the food trucks that set up. There are about a dozen different trucks to select from. All of it is good too. In addition to the food, there are beer vendors provided by the local bars. You can grab some food and a beer and eat at one of the many tables scattered about. All the while enjoy good music provided by a local band.
Usually, whenever I am in the Arts District, I always like to pay Snowball a visit. A visit to Las Vegas is never complete until you get your photo taken with Snowball. You can always get more information about First Friday in the Arts District here at the First Friday Site.
One local piece of advice is don’t bother driving. There is never a parking spot available. Plus, with the convenience of Uber, this is the best way to get there and back out again with the least amount of pain.
In conclusion, if you are looking for a free event and it happens to be the first Friday of the month you should attend this festival. In the end, there is nothing to compare for the price. Undoubtedly, you may actually get something to hang on the wall.
