Double Down Saloon is another great venue and bar. This spot emulates the locals spot. I had a great time when I went. For instance, this place offers up bands to listen to for free. There is a lot of action going on around Double Down. It is located near UNLV and across the street from The Bonfire on Paradise Rd. ( 4640 Paradise Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89169 )
For example, they typically have a band playing. Unfortunately, the evening I went there was no band. But that was fine. The place was still packed with locals and had people coming and going through out the night. The atmosphere was fun and entertaining. Plus, you can even get merchandise there with their logo. Beanies and shirts. Likewise, I believe you can get a free shot Ass Juice on Wednesdays.
Double Down Saloon
To illustrate, there is plenty of seating through out the place. There are several booths and tables. And of course, lots of bar stools around the bar. They have a couple of TVs in place that play a very very odd selection of cartoons. I really like their motto. “Shut Up and DRINK”. Additionally, they have a stage tucked away in the corner. Next to the stage is a pool table. However, be sure to keep a eye out for the cockroach. For example, it is probably one of the biggest I have ever seen. Relax though, it is not real. But it adds to the decor.
Most importantly, the bar is a fun spot to hang out. For instance, they have gaming machines all around it. So if you wanna get your gamble on, you can. In a similar fashion, the Bar Tender was really cool. As a result, he ran the place like clock work and knew exactly how to handle everything. Naturally, be sure to check out the bar ceiling too. There are lots of bills up there. Of course, feel free to add your own if you like.
