Atomic Liquors is the oldest bar downtown, established in 1952. Most importantly of this, Atomic Liquors has a great history. I always try to get a drink or two here whenever I am near by. Atomic is south of Fremont Street experience nearby (917 E Fremont St, Las Vegas, NV 89101).
In contrast to the bars on Fremont experience, there is plenty of seating inside and up at the bar. Most of the time I find myself sitting outside because it is always so nice. There is lots of space out there.
You should always stop by and support the local establishments.
Atomic Liquors has a past of serving drinks on the roof. This enabled everyone to see the mushroom cloud of the atomic testing going on in the distance.
Atomic was also a favorite of the celebrates of the past, rat pack, Barbara Streisand, and Client Eastwood to mention a few.
You can always visit Atomic Liquors site.
There is so much history here. You should take a moment or two to read the 917 Fremont placard on the wall while you sip on your beer.
I will have to make it a point to return and try some of the cocktails they offer. With names like Atomic Old Fashioned, Rocket Booster, and Atomic Mule, you cant go wrong.
In conclusion, I would suggest everyone visit Atomic Liquors. This is true Las Vegas history. Plus, never hurts to get a drink or two.
