Sand Dollar is the home of the Blues. They opened in 1976 and have been hosting live music ever since. This is a locals bar that offers live music never with a cover charge. They are located on the other side of The Strip and I15 on Spring Mountain Road ( 3355 Spring Mountain Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89102 ).
Because this is a well known establishment, it can get busy on Friday and Saturday nights. This place will fill up with locals. You will of course have the band loyalist too. The bar is very big and they even have a couple of machines installed.
Additionally, the bands are always good and offer up good music. Even more, they usually have several bands lined up for a single evening. This place is just big enough but still offers the very small venue feel. To illustrate, you can get right up next to the stage if you like.
For instance, they even have a kitchen that offers up Artisan Pizzas. There is plenty of space to sit and eat too. In addition, there is even room for pool table too. Likewise, out back is a open smoking area with plenty of seating that offers a chance to get a break from the crowds inside.
For example, every time I have gone here it has always been busy. If you want to show up a little early it will give you a chance to grab a place to sit. In similar fashion, we sometimes show up early and eat a pizza first. Hence, we get food and drink and a spot to sit. At of all the local clubs I would have to say the Sand Dollar is tops for me.

Accordingly, the bar is always busy. Since this is a full bar that offer up many mix drinks to order. They even offer the staffs favorites. Check out the menu for the selection. You can always just get a beer or soda if you like. Also, the prices are very reasonable considering everything.
This place is so popular, they opened up the Sand Dollar Downtown in the Plaza in 2022. The location is great and they have live music too.
In conclusion, Sand Dollar is one of my favorite music spots. It is always lively and never has a cover charge. There is plenty of free parking. Plenty of drinks and even offers up pizza if you are hungry. So far I would say this is my favorite local club. Lastly, more information on Sand Dollar site.
