Dive Bar

The Dive Bar is a interesting place. Chiefly, this a dive bar. In addition, it is a great venue to listen to up and coming music. There is always a good line up to check out. Dive Bar is located near UNLV (4110 S Maryland Pkwy, Las Vegas, NV 89119).

For example, the night I went the line up was THREE BAD JACKS -Frankie Lee & The Infernos – Wyatt & The Ashes – War Peggy. If you want to sit down you will want to arrive early. The bar is very stocked and seems to be a PBR spot. There is plenty of parking which is free. Depending on the line up, Dive Bar can bring in different types of crowds. Also the Dive Bar has a pool table. This Eventbrite site seems to talk about the events.

For instance, the warm up band took forever to warm up. After what seemed a hour of warm up, the band eventually played one song. After that, it was time to wait for the next band. The whole process seemed very long. Of course, when the band played the sound system was good and you could definitely hear everything.

For example, the bathroom is a interesting spot. Besides representing a dive bar bathroom very spot on, it appeared the entire bathroom was held together with stickers. I do not believe there was a open spot without a sticker. Then again, who would want to touch anything in there?

Notwithstanding, the prices are reasonable. Tickets for shows go for $15 and a beer will cost you another $7. Undoubtedly, one of the funniest things I liked about the Dive Bar was the submarine sounds, sonar ping, you occasionally may hear. To funny!

In the end, Dive Bar would not be my top selection of places to go. To that end, if there is a good line up to be heard then you should go. It all boils down to the music. Without the music, go somewhere else.
